14th Dalai Lama offers prayers in Mahabodhi Mahavihara

     H. H. the 14th the Dalai Lama arrived at Buddhagaya in the morning and was received at the Maitreya Project by senior monks and officials.

    His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Mahabodhi Mahavihara in the afternoon to offer prayers and take part in the Kagyu Monlam.. He was received at the entrance of the Mahabodhi Mahavihara by the Chairman of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee, Mr. Brijesh Mehrotra, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Raveendran Shankaran, Secretary, Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee, Sri Kalicharan Singh Yadav and Bhikkhu-in-Charge of the Mahabodhi Mahavihara, Bhikkhu Bodhipala. His Holiness was presented with a replica of the Mahabodhi Mahavihara by the Chairman at the entrance.

     His Holiness The Dalai Lama and H.H. The Karmapa both offered prayers at the Mahabodhi Mahavihara. Thereafter both took part in the Kagyu Monlam and offered prayers and blessings. Today was the last day of the Kagyu Monlam.
