Bags of rice for distribution

 

The 55th Independence Day of India was celebrated by the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee alongwith the rest of the nation on the 15th August 2002, Thursday with great joy and enthusiasm.

In a function organised in the office premises of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee the Indian National Flag was hoisted by Dr. Ram Swarup Singh, Hon'ble Member, Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee amidst a large gathering of the staff and local people. Sweets were distributed to the guests.

Later rice were distributed amongst 900 poor people living around the Mahabodhi Mahavihara. About 45 quintals of rice was distributed on this day.
